It was a crisp autumn evening at Disneyland's California Adventure, and the air buzzed with excitement. Tonight was Oogie Boogie Bash, the spookiest night of the year. Families dressed in clever costumes hurried toward the entrance, eager for a night of thrills and chills. Leading the way, as always, was Finley the Mouse Sherpa —small in size but mighty in spirit.

Earlier that day, Finn had helped the family settle

into Pixar Place Hotel, where they were staying. It was the perfect home base, with its colorful décor and cozy family suites. The kids were bouncing with excitement as they prepared for the night ahead. Finn, always the expert planner, had scurried around the room making sure every detail was ready. The youngest was dressed as a mini Mickey vampire, and his sister was transformed into a glowing fairy, complete with twinkling wings.

Finn had picked the family’s ultimate secret weapon for the night—a sleek, comfortable Guava Family Roam stroller from City Stroller Rentals. "This is perfect for keeping the kids cozy between trick-or-treat stops!" Finn told the parents, tucking blankets and glow sticks into the stroller’s handy compartments. “Plus, you’ll thank me later when we hit the parades.”

With everyone dressed and ready, Finn made sure to pack spooky-themed snacks and adjust the glow sticks, which doubled as nighttime navigation tools. “These aren’t just for fun,” he told the kids with a wink. “They’ll guide you through the dark!”

Into the Bash

As they entered California Adventure, eerie music filled the air, and trees were lit with haunting green and purple lights. Spooky laughter echoed from every corner, and the park seemed transformed into a magical, spooky realm. Finn smiled—he knew tonight would be an adventure to remember.

The first stop was one of the park's Redwood Creek Challenge Trail known as Villains Grove , where you encounter eerie yet mesmerizing scenes inspired by Disney villains like Maleficent, the Evil Queen, and more. The atmosphere is both mysterious and whimsical, with dramatic lighting and fog that make it feel like you’ve stepped into an enchanted forest. The kids were both excited and nervous as they looked around. Shadows twisted in every direction, making it hard to know what was real and what was part of the show.

Noticing the youngest clutching her mom's hand tightly, Finn hopped up onto her shoulder. “Don’t worry,” he whispered. “There’s nothing to be afraid of. It’s all pretend! And if anything gets too spooky, we’ll hold hands, okay?” She nodded, feeling braver, and with Finn’s calming presence, they made it through the forest, laughing by the end.

Trick-or-Treat Fun

Next, Finn led the way to the trick-or-treat stations. “Look at all this candy!” the kids squealed, excitedly filling their bags. But Finn, always prepared, had something special in mind. Scurrying ahead, he scoped out the stations offering allergy-friendly treats. “Everyone deserves to enjoy the night,” Finn said, making sure no child missed out on the fun, regardless of dietary restrictions. “Keep your eyes open for the teal pumpkins!” he whispered to the kids, pointing out the stations offering special snacks. Guests with food allergies can request special trick-or-treat bags, and certain treat trails will offer non-food items as part of the park’s commitment to inclusivity. Be sure to check at Guest Services or look for teal pumpkins on the treat trails to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for children with allergies! #tealpumpkinproject

With their Guava Family Stroller full of treats and glowing in the dark, the family ventured deeper into the park. The spooky ambiance grew more intense as a familiar cackle echoed through the air. The music grew louder, more sinister. Shadows twisted ahead, and then they saw him—Oogie Boogie, towering over the crowd, with his glowing green form casting an eerie light.

The kids froze, eyes wide, as they huddled closer to Finn. But Finn remained calm, his eyes sparkling with confidence. “No need to be scared of old Oogie,” he said with a grin. “Watch this.” He confidently approached the villainous figure. Oogie Boogie leaned down, menacing and looming, but Finn didn’t flinch. Instead, he held out his hand and asked, “How about we take a spooky selfie?”

Oogie Boogie, clearly impressed by Finn’s bravery, chuckled darkly and posed for the picture. The kids, seeing how unafraid Finn was, burst into laughter. Their fear melted away as they each took a turn for a photo with the spooky villain. What had been a tense moment became a memory full of giggles.

A Magical Finale

With the night winding down, Finn led the family to a special spot for the grand finale—the Halloween-themed World of Color show. They found a cozy spot where the kids could watch from the comfort of their stroller, snuggled under blankets. As the show began, the water and lights danced across the lagoon in brilliant colors, weaving in spooky imagery and beloved Disney characters.

Finn watched the kids’ faces light up in awe as they watched the magical display. “You know,” Finn said softly, “sometimes things can seem scary at first. But when you look at them the right way, you realize they’re not so scary after all.”

The children nodded, understanding Finn’s wise words as the spectacular show unfolded before them. As the final bursts of light faded and the night came to an end, the family packed up their stroller, bags full of treats and hearts full of happy memories.

Finn smiled, knowing he had once again guided his family through another magical adventure. No matter how spooky things seemed, with a little courage, a good guide, and some Disney magic, every night could have a happy ending.
