The LAX Automated People Mover (APM) is an exciting addition to Los Angeles International Airport's infrastructure, designed to enhance passenger convenience and reduce congestion. Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know:

Key Features:
Convenient Connections:
The APM connects all terminals at LAX, including the Tom Bradley International Terminal. The APM is expected to operate 24 hours a day. During peak hours (9 a.m. to 11 p.m.) trains will arrive every two minutes.
Links the terminals to the Intermodal Transportation Facility-West (ITF-West), parking, and a new rental car facility (Consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility, ConRAC). It will consolidate rental car operations that are currently spread across the surrounding area of LAX into one location adjacent to the 405 freeway. The new facility is expected to store up to 21,000 rental vehicles.
Will reduce 3000 roundtrip shuttles to and from the old rental car locations as well as terminal to terminal transfer..
State-of-the-Art Design:
Trains are sleek, electric, and eco-friendly, supporting LAX’s sustainability goals.
Each train has large windows, spacious interiors, and luggage-friendly spaces.
Efficiency:
Innovia APM trains arrive every 2-3 minutes during peak times.
The full journey from end to end takes approximately 10 minutes.
Great solution to reduce congestion at LAX and will reduce upwards of 42 million cars on the roads.

Accessibility:
The APM is fully accessible, featuring elevators, escalators, and level boarding for all passengers, including those with disabilities or heavy luggage.
Time-Saving:
Travelers no longer need to rely on shuttle buses or long walks between terminals.
The streamlined transit helps reduce stress, especially during layovers or tight connections.
Sustainability:
Helps decrease emissions by reducing reliance on internal airport shuttles and private vehicles within the airport loop. Alstom's vision for a greener, smarter rail industry is coming to fruition.
Benefits for Travelers:
Stress-Free Navigation: Easily move between terminals without worrying about traffic or long walks.
Integrated Public Transit: Direct connection to the Metro K Line, making it easier to get to downtown LA and other parts of the city.
Faster Rental Car Access: The new ConRAC facility centralizes car rental services, cutting down on shuttle bus trips and wait times.
The LAX Automated People Mover is part of a broader effort to modernize and improve one of the busiest airports in the world. It’s a game-changer for efficiency, convenience, and sustainability. If you’re traveling through LAX, this addition will surely make your experience smoother and more enjoyable!
